CONSTITUTION

 

Article I          Organization
 

Name and Objects
 

Section 1:  The name of the Club shall be The Pekingese Association, Inc.

 

Section 2:  The organization shall have a seal which shall be in the following form:  A hand held embosser with corporate name:  The Pekingese Association, Inc., a State of RI seal and the date of incorporation May 1, 2006.

 

Section 3:  The organization may at its pleasure by a vote of the founding member body change its name.

 

Article II                Purposes

 

Section 1:  The objects of the Club shall be:

 

  1. To ensure the continued preservation and protection of the Pekingese breed.
  2. To promote responsible breeding practices, encourage exceptional sportsmanship and to mentor the next generation of breeder/exhibitors.
  3. To support regional specialties through trophy donations with the highest priority given to the Bred-By-Exhibitor classes.
  4. To make available professional assistance to show giving specialty clubs.
  5. Make a concerted effort to draw new people into the breed.

 

Section 2:  The founders of the club shall adopt and may from time to time revise such By-Laws as may be required to carry out these objects.

 

Section:  3:  The Club shall not be conducted or operated for profit and no part of any profits or remainder or residue from dues or donations to the Club shall inure to the benefit of any member or individual.
